About Us:
The Fraunhofer Portugal Research Center for Assistive Information and Communication Solutions (Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and development of applied research in Portugal, being its activities focused in the areas of Ambient Assisted Living and ICT4D.
Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS works with companies interested in outsourcing/co-developing their applied research projects, providing them specialized competences centered on the improvement of end-user experience and usability of applications.
In order to expand its project competences, Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS is now receiving applications from candidates interested in the particular fields addressed by the center, who are capable of providing excellent qualifications and skills within the requirements described below.

Job Description and Responsibilities:
The candidate should have a strong background in designing user interfaces for a number of contexts, devices and platforms. The job requires creativity and solid foundations in Adobe Photoshop. Furthermore the candidate should have a proven record of high quality user interfaces and should be able to translate the designs into web technologies.

Minimum Academic Qualifications:
Masters level Degree (or equivalent) in Design, Graphic Design or Human-Computer Interaction or in a relevant discipline or equivalent prior experience in a related field.

Other Required Skills:
– Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
– Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English
– Strong ability to communicate complex ideas to colleagues and clients
– Good organizational and time management skills
– Ability to implements designs in web technologies such as HTML and CSS

Additional/Preferred Professional Experience:
 Experience in design and development of state-of-the-art user interfaces for multiple platforms.
